Body Liposuction

About Liposuction

Liposuction originated in Europe in the late 1970s, and was then brought to the US in the early 1980s. Like many worthwhile procedures in medicine, this procedure has undergone multiple improvements over the years, including the technique of using tumescent fluid injection in the area to be liposuctioned. What has not changed is the need for the surgeon to have extensive training and experience in liposuction because it is a learned skill.

Change Your Image

Just like a sculptor removes the outer excess stone to reveal the sculpture within, liposuction removes the outer unwanted fat which covers up your true shape and contours within your body. You will never be happier, feel healthier, and have more self-esteem when you remove the excess fat, which you have been unable to shed. Besides providing a better shape (image), liposuction can be the stimulus to get you started toward a healthier diet (weight) program, and the impetus toward a more active exercise program.

In short, liposuction which is very safe, can be the turning point toward a more beautiful new you and an escalating self-image. (Think about the clothes that you have not been able to get into or the clothes you would like to wear.) Call for a complimentary consult to discuss your possibilities.

The Procedure

Tumescent fluid is first injected into an area to be liposuctioned and then cannulas, which are hooked up to suction, are used to remove the excess fat (and fat cells). The procedure can be done under local anesthesia, IV sedation, or general anesthesia depending on the extent of surgery.
